HOW TO GET HERE

Your escape begins well before you arrive. Leaving Bogotá (via La Calera or El Codito), the pavement gives way to a scenic country road. Here, the rhythm shifts: the mountain route softens the city's hum, gently wrapping you in the calm of the landscape, kilometer by kilometer. Reaching the refuge isn’t just a drive—it’s the first deep breath of your complete unwind.

01

By Car

Departing Bogotá via Carrera Séptima (over Alto de Patios) or Calle 187 (via El Codito and Vereda El Triunfo), the rural route leaves the city noise behind and leads you into the peace of the páramo. For peace of mind, we recommend arriving in an SUV, 4x4, or motorcycle; currently, thanks to the dry season, the road is firm and in great condition for a smooth drive up.

02

Public Transportation

To arrive from Bogotá, take a bus toward La Calera from Calle 72 (opposite Universidad Pedagógica) or catch a city taxi. Once in town, the journey continues aboard a local public 4×4 jeep that brings you straight to our doorstep. Please keep in mind that, as these are rural mountain routes, the fare for these country jeeps is slightly higher. Be sure to contact us ahead of time to book this ride and ensure a seamless pickup without the wait.

Mountain Biking

If you love cycling, the climb up to the páramo is your ultimate reward. You can ride from Bogotá over Patios or ascend via El Codito and Vereda El Triunfo—a rewarding, crisp-air route that takes you straight into the cloud forest. We recommend a mountain bike (MTB) or gravel bike to comfortably enjoy the unpaved path. Upon arrival, you'll find a safe place to store your bike and rest while taking in the views.
